The Dupline Field and Installation Bus offers bidirectional transmission of analog and/or digital signals over a single twisted pair of wire, up to a six mile distance. Longer distances possible with the implementation of signal repeaters or modems. Communication interfaces include: a Profibus-DP gateway, various directly mapped PLC gateways (for Mitsubishi, GE Fanuc, Siemens, Omron and more to come), modem interfaces (dial-up, leased line, cellular, RF and microwave).
Dupline is extremely immune to electrical noise, this system is currently in its third generation since the early 80's - with over 100,000 installations worldwide (quickly approaching one million I/O nodes)!
