With a variety of configurations available, the industry-leading SiloPatrol™ inventory monitoring system provides continuous-on-demand inventory management. Compatible with a wide range of dry and liquid materials, these units have either a digital or analog output signal and are unaffected by airborne dust or vapor pockets. The SiloPatrol can provide accurate measurements of materials in tanks, silos and bins up to heights of 200 feet.

OUTPUT TYPES

Standard 'Smart'
The SMU communicates with the HMI via a proprietary RS-485 communication protocol. This output must be used in conjunction with any HMI.
Pulse (Retrofit)
An SMU can provide a 1/10' or dm pulse output to retrofit to CM consoles previously offered by Monitor.
4-20 Analog Output
Often it is preferred to have an analog signal directly from the SMU sensor head, thereby eliminating the need for an HMI. The analog signal is typically routed to the user's control system and the SMU must be initiated by an external contact closure.

Plum Bobs

Standard Cast Aluminum:
Most SMUs are shipped with this plumb bob assembled to the unit. For use with bulk solids with a bulk density over 20 lb./ft.³. Teflon®-coated version is available for sticky materials.
316 Stainless Steel:
For use with corrosive solids and foodstuffs with bulk densities greater than 20 lb./ft.³. This plumb bob is typically shipped as a separate item, but can be assembled to the SMU at the factory upon request.
316 SS Inverted Cone:
For use with light bulk solids with bulk densities over 5 lb./ft.³. Teflon®-coated also available for corrosive or sticky materials. This plumb bob is shipped as a separate line item and must be attached to the cable in the field.
6" Diameter 316 SS Ball Float:
For use with liquids with a minimum specific gravity of 0.85. Teflon®-coated also available for corrosive or sticky materials. This plumb bob is shipped as a separate item and must be attached to the cable in the field.
Teflon Coated 6" Diameter 316 SS Ball Float:
For use with sticky or corrosive liquids with a minimum specific gravity of 0.85. This plumb bob is shipped as a separate item and must be attached to the cable in the field.
Plastic 'Digestible':
Constructed in the form of a plastic bottle to eliminate damage to valves and screws, this bob can be filled with the user's material to make up to a 2-lb. plumb bob.
